In
conjunction with the Executive Director, the Building Committee
assumes overall responsibility for supervising the maintenance
and operation of the building and contents acquired for the
use of the Association;
Advise the Board concerning the acquisition,
disposition, rental, sale, or purchase of any real property;
Co-operate with the Fundraising Committee
in the planning and promotion of fundraising activities,
especially those designated as building fundraising events;
In conjunction with the Executive Director,
assist in the supervision of the janitorial/custodian staff,
in relation to their role and responsibilities, and in the
screening of applicants for special occasions or long-term
rental of space in the JCA building;
The Building Committee also provide other
related services as directed by the Board of Directors,
relevant to the building usage, from time to time.
The Building Committee meet on the 1st Wednesday of
each month at 6:30 p.m. at the JCA Centre. For further
