The Public Relations Committee serves as the organization’s internal and external communications unit. PR is defined as “the management function that establishes and maintains mutually beneficial working relationships between an organization and the publics on whom its successes or future depend.”

Public Relations encompasses media relations, publicity advertising, editorial services/public relations, community relations and special events as well as planning/management.

The Public Relations Committee produces In Focus, the JCA quarterly newsletter in its entirety; includes collecting articles and reports from the JCA Board and the Community at large on a quarterly basis.

• Publicize the events and achievements of the Association
• Document Images to capture these events and achievements.
• Oversee the overall running and upkeep of the JCA Website.
• Submit to the Board of Director for approval the Committee Plans and Budgets on a yearly basis
